Wayne J. Dryja, age 73, late of Frankfort, IL, passed away January 31, 2026. Wayne found great joy in gardening, taking pride in nurturing plants and watching things grow - a reflection of his patient and thoughtful nature. Wayne also had a lifelong fascination with aviation. That passion took flight in his early twenties when he became a private pilot, an achievement that brought him immense pride and remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Wayne dedicated 20 years of his career to Fairplay Food, where he served as a manager. He was respected for his strong work ethic, leadership, and the genuine way he treated both coworkers and customers. To many, he was more than a manager - he was a steady presence and a friend.
Above all, Wayne will be remembered for his warmth, his curiosity, and his love for the simple pleasures of life. He leaves behind many fond memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wayne's love of freshwater fishing began in his youth, taught patiently by his father, and it remained a cherished pastime throughout his life.
