Terry Michael Scanlan

Terry Scanlan, age 71, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026. Born on August 31, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, Terry was the beloved son of Dorothy nee Herstowski and Thomas Scanlan. A hardworking provider, devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, Terry lived a life centered around family, loyalty, and dedication to those he loved most.

Beloved husband of the late Darlene Scanlan, Terry cherished the life and family they built together. Loving father of Jessica (Phil) Ciciura, Brian (Trisha) Scanlan, and Kelly Scanlan. Proud and adoring grandfather of Colan (Kelsey), Brian, Elise, Joshua, Isabella, and Katelynn, who brought endless joy and pride to his life. Brother of the late Thomas Scanlan. Cherished Brother in law, Uncle and friend to many.

He will also be dearly missed by extended family members, friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation for Terry Scanlan will be held Monday, May 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home 17258 S Harlem Ave Tinley Park Il.

Terry's legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and in the countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to call him husband, father, grandfather, family, and friend.
