Sister Mary Mark Segvich

Sister Mary Mark Segvich, OSF passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026. She was raised in Mokena, IL, and attended St. Mary Grade School and Sacred Heart High School. She entered the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart in 1963, making perpetual vows in 1971.

Sister enjoyed a 20-year education career as teacher and administrator. In 1989, Sister felt privileged to serve Franciscan Sisters congregation as Vice President. For the past forty years living at the Motherhouse in Frankfort, Sister served as Mission Coordinator working with the laity to raise funds for works in Brazil.

Visitation for Sister Mary Mark will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 beginning at 1PM until 6 PM, with a Wake Service at 4PM at the Motherhouse 9201 W. St. Francis Rd. Frankfort, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 9:30 AM on Wednesday January 14, 2026. Interment to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Joliet, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home.
