Shirley Fritts-Vasilenko

Shirley M. Fritts-Vasilenko, age 68, late of Chicago. Beloved wife of Bob Vasilenko. Loving mother of, Bill Fritts and Jim (Barbara) Fritts. Proud grandma of Tommy and Graysen Fritts. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Charmaine and Jerry Leach.

Shirley was strong, hardworking, and full of grace. She never gave up on anything she believed in. When cancer came into her life, she faced it like a warrior in a fight-brave, determined, and full of heart. Her greatest joy was her kids and grandkids-they were her world. Bob always said she "lit up the moment they walked into the room".

Visitation, Sunday, May 18, 2025, 2:00-7:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL. 60477. Friends and extended family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 10:30 AM on Monday, May 19, 2025. Immediate family will be meeting for funeral prayers at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
