Rose M. Eckard

After a short battle with an acute illness, Rose Eckard, of Oak Forest, Illinois, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 17th, 2013 alongside loving family members at Palos Hospital in (Palos, Illinois).
Rose was born May 31, 1937 to the late Anna & Joseph Yanik. She was married to Harold Eckard for over 50 loving years. They resided in Oak Forest, Illinois.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband Harold, and youngest daughter, Rosanne M. Conwell. She is survived by sisters/brothers; Sophia Burtraw of Eugene, Oregon, Helen J. Thompson and her husband Jack Thompson of Venice Florida, Joseph Yanik and wife Elsie Yanik, of Burbank, Illinois, her eldest daughter, Pamela J. Brandau and her husband Steven A. Brandau Sr. of Kendall, WI; grandchildren Jessica Brandau of Worth, IL, Jennifer (Jason) Holliday of Sparta, WI, Steven (Heather) Brandau Jr. of Sparta, & Stacy Brandau of Sparta, WI, Jeffery Prinz of Oak Forest, IL, Bryan Prinz ; great-grandchildren Dakota, Montanna, & AnnaLyssa Holliday, Nicolas Prinz, Hadley & Hayden Brandau; loving nieces and nephews, and her beloved Pekingese, Keno.
Rose was a warm, compassionate woman with an infectious smile and tender heart. She always thought of others before herself and gave graciously to those she loved. Those who were fortunate enough to know her have lost a dear friend and she will truly be missed.
Her loving family will hold a private celebration of her life.
