Robert J. Lizak

Robert J. "Pops" Lizak, 81, late of Lady Lake, FL. U.S. Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of Cheryl Geib-Lizak. Loving father of Stacey (John) Guanci, Andrew (Michelle), and Michael (Angelia) Geib. Proud grandpa of AJ, Alex, Abby Lizak, Hannah and Adam Tulloch, and Ava Geib.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Elizabeth and his four siblings, Mike, Jerry, Marie, and Tom.

Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, bird watching, and photography, and was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. Above all, he was a devoted family man who treasured spending time with his loved ones and especially enjoyed playing games together.

Bob worked as an electrician for Penn Central and later Amtrak, dedicating 30 years to the railroad. Throughout his life, he was affectionately known by many names, including Bob, Pops, Black Bart, and Mo.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 4:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue, Tinley Park, IL. Interment will be private.
