Richard J. Wargo

Richard Wargo, 80, late of Frankfort, IL. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Wargo. Loving father of Jason (Eileen) Wargo and Jaclyn Wargo. Proud and adored grandfather of Jameson and Jacob. Dear brother of the late John Wargo. Caring uncle of Brad and Melinda. Rich will also be dearly missed by his neighbors. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Anastasia Wargo.

Rich grew up in Calumet Park and attended Eisenhower High School. He was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed the opportunity to cast a line. Rich spent his career in sales with Friedman Dorrans and was the consummate salesman-he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone and had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was also a huge Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed cheering on his team.

Above all, Rich deeply loved his family. After missing Kathleen, the love of his life, Rich is finally at rest and reunited with her once again.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 3:00-8:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Road, Mokena, IL. A Chapel Service will commence at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery.
