Peter S. Gusich Jr.

Peter S. Gusich, Jr. age 90, of Lockport, IL, passed away November 22, 2025. Devoted father and grandfather. Peter graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. In his early years, he worked as a pharmacist at Jewel Osco and later went on to specialize in long-term care. Peter was a car enthusiast; he was especially knowledgeable about Corvettes and enjoyed attending all neighborhood car shows.

Peter spent many years training in karate and eventually obtained his 2nd degree black belt. He enjoyed watching TV; HGTV, This Old House, Rock The Block, and any fixer upper/home renovation show. He became obsessed with watching the show, Lincoln Lawyer. Peter spent a lot of his time sitting on the front porch of his home "watching the world go" by. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Beloved husband of the late Evelyn A. Gusich of 63 years. Loving father of Keith, Michelle, Beth (Bill) and heavenly angel Michael. Cherished grandfather of Gavin, Jordyn, Dean and Jaret. Dear son of the late Peter Sr. and late Mary Gusich. Devoted dad/grandfather to his dogs- Guinness, Smokey, Duffy, Creed, Ruger, Sandy, Cash, and Laxi.

Visitation, Wednesday, November 26, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at St. Mary Church, 19515 115th Ave. Mokena, IL 60448. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to PAWS in Tinley Park, IL.
