Patricia Gedville

Patricia Ann Gedville, age 79, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026.

Patricia was born on May 30, 1946, to James and Isabel See. She lived a life filled with kindness, faith, music, and deep love for her family.

She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Gedville. Together they built a life centered on love, family, laughter, and the simple joys of being together. Patricia was a devoted and loving mother to Bob (Laura) Gedville, and Mike (Rocio) Gedville.

Patricia was an especially proud grandmother to Gabriella Gedville, Brendan Gedville, Aidan Gedville, and Maya Gedville. Her grandchildren were among the greatest joys of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is also survived by her brother, Frank See.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James and Isabel See, and by her brother, James See.

Patricia was known for her sweet and thoughtful nature, her genuine heart, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and important. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a warmth that drew people to her. Truly one of the kindest people anyone could know, Patricia had a way of making others smile simply by being herself.

Throughout her life, Patricia was athletic and active. She loved gardening, spending time outdoors, and enjoying the beauty of nature. She especially loved children and was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved most.

Patricia also had a beautiful singing voice and was a proud member of the choir at St. Mary Choir. Her faith and love of music were deeply important to her, and she found great joy in sharing both with others.

Patricia will be remembered for her loving heart, her beautiful voice, her unwavering kindness, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patricia's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Road, Mokena, Illinois 60448.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Avenue, Mokena, Illinois 60448.
