Michael "Mike" L. Marra, age 76, late of Orland Park, IL, passed away August 7, 2026. Proud U.S. Army Veteran. Mike was a retired home builder who truly loved what he did. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed the many years he spent building homes and creating something meaningful for others. He was proud of the work he accomplished throughout his career and the lasting mark he left through the homes he built.

Mike especially enjoyed spending time on the golf course. His best friend, Jim, was the one who introduced him to golf, and Mike quickly fell in love with the sport. What began as something he tried with a friend became a favorite pastime and a big part of his life. Mike loved getting together with his friends for a round of golf, sharing laughs and enjoying their time together. He also certainly enjoyed the friendly competition and was always happy when he could beat his friends! Those who knew Mike on the golf course knew he liked to play hard and was never going to turn down an opportunity to brag about a good round.

While Mike enjoyed his hobbies and friendships, his greatest joy came from his family. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones and especially cherished the time he had with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether gathered for a family celebration, sharing a meal, or simply enjoying each other's company, Mike valued the memories made with his family above all else.

Mike will be remembered as a hardworking man who took pride in what he did, a loyal friend who enjoyed a good round of golf, and a loving family man who treasured the people closest to him. His laughter, stories, competitive spirit, and love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
