Mary "Patsy" P. Tobin

Mary "Patsy" P. Tobin (nee Casey), age 84, late of Mokena, IL, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2026.

Patsy was someone who found happiness in the little things in life, especially the time she spent with those she loved. She cherished being surrounded by family and friends and enjoyed making memories with the people closest to her. She had a true love for nature and had a green thumb. She also loved birdwatching, animals, reading a good book, and listening to music. For many years, Patsy shared a home with her beloved sister, Noreen, and brother-in-law, Don, with whom she shared many years of companionship and treasured memories. Her love for her family, appreciation for nature, and enjoyment of life's simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Beloved wife of the late James Tobin. Cherished mother of the late Patricia (late James) Hynes. Loving grandmother of Claire Hynes and Sean Hynes. Caring sister of Noreen (Don) Moran and James Casey. Dear daughter of the late James and Sadie Casey. Kind aunt of Danny Marty and Matt Moran and loved by many other nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation, Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd. Mokena, IL 60448. Memorial Mass, Friday, November 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Mokena, IL. Interment will be Private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Courage Program at St. Germaine Church in Oak Lawn, IL. This program was especially meaningful to Patsy, as it was started by her dear friend, Maureen Shields, making it a cause very close to her heart.
