Mark Edward Franceschini

Mark Franceschini, 62, passed away on October 31, 2026, in Lebanon, Tennessee. A loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and beloved brother, Mark found his greatest happiness in the life he built with his family.

Mark met his wife, Julie née Yelaska, through friends during their college years. They married at St. Mary's in Mokena and raised their three daughters in the same Mokena home for over 30 years. That home became the setting for a lifetime of family memories.

Mark worked as an IT developer and enjoyed reading science fiction. As a father, he took an active interest in his daughters' lives, supporting their involvement in soccer, band, and cheerleading. His presence and encouragement were an important part of their growing years.

Mark was the beloved husband of Julie Franceschini, loving father of Dana (TJ) Peterson, Jennifer Franceschini, and Lauren Franceschini; cherished grandfather of Jaxon, Rylie, Jace, and Greyson; and dear brother of Lisa (Gary) Haines, Tom (Mary) Franceschini, and Steve (Heather Holub) Franceschini. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.  He is welcomed into heaven by his parents Edward and Sue Franceschini.  

Mark will be remembered for his devotion to his family and the many everyday moments they shared, from raising his daughters to becoming their children's beloved Papa.

Visitation for Mark will be held on Monday November 9, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd Mokena, IL 60448. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on November 10, 2026 at St Mary Catholic Church 19515 115th Ave Mokena Il 60448.

Interment will be private.
