Kathryn "Casey" L. Martin

Kathryn "Casey" L. Martin (nee Carberry), age 73, late of Toledo, IL, passed away on July 15, 2026. Casey embraced life with warmth, creativity, and an adventurous spirit. She found joy creating beautiful crafts, and spending countless hours playing mahjong and board games with family and friends.

An avid admirer of the color purple, Casey's vibrant personality reflected the color she loved so much. She treasured her time at the Life Center of Cumberland County, where her outgoing nature and kind heart made her many lasting friendships. She also enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to explore several countries throughout her life. One of her greatest companions was her beloved dog, Winston, who brought her endless love and happiness.

Casey was the beloved wife of the late David P. Martin, loving mother of Jason (Mikela) Martin, and cherished grandmother of Dagon Smith and Lyric Martin. She was also preceded in death by her faithful canine companion, Winston.

Casey will be remembered for her compassionate heart, joyful spirit, and the many lives she touched through her kindness, laughter, and friendship. Her memory will be treasured always by all who knew and loved her.

Celebration of Life, Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Life Center of Cumberland County, 507 E. Main St. Cumberland, IL 62468. In Casey's memory, please wear an article of purple clothing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Life Center of Cumberland County. Interment will be Private.
