Karen J. Christl (nee Lantz), age 88, late of Orland Hills, IL, passed away December 18, 2025. Devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Karen worked for the Illinois Bell for nearly 40 years. Avid fan of reading and crossword puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Karen was a phenomenal mother and proudly raised her 3 daughters

Beloved wife of the late Frank Christl. Loving mother of late Joanne (late Dale) Mackrow, Diana (Charles) Mead, and Yvonne Skulemowski. Cherished grandmother of Samantha (John) Verthein, Michelle Paradise, Sheila (Matthew) Shander, Jeremy (Estefany) Mead. Cherished great-grandmother of Nathan, Harper, Jayce, James, Sophia, and Joshua. Caring sister of John (late Mary) Lantz, Daniel (Sherry) Lantz, Pam (Eddie) Gonzalez, Teddie Glenn, late Rita Norman, late Robert (late Katie) Lantz, and late Jean Ryan. Dear daughter of the late Theodore and the late Kathryn Lantz. Kind aunt of several nieces and nephews.
