John "Jake" E. Gorman

John "Jake" E. Gorman, age 66, late of Ottawa, IL, passed away September 11, 2025. Devoted brother and uncle. Avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He loved the outdoors. John could always be found in a tree stand or casting a line in the river. He started his career as a tool maker and later moved into becoming a die design engineer. John had an incredible sense of humor and could make just about anybody laugh. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Beloved brother of Mary Kring, Jim (late Judy) Gorman, Kathy (Michael) Neagle, George (Colette) Gorman, Patricia Buick, Colleen McKenna, late Joe Gorman, late John Gorman, late William Gorman, late Anne (Robert) Malley, and late Karen Hayes. Kind uncle of several nieces and nephews. Loving son of the late William and Patricia Gorman.

Memorial Visitation, Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until time of Chapel Service at 6:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave. Tinley Park, IL 60477.
