John M. Duda Jr.
August 28, 1946 - October 27, 2026
John M. Duda Jr., age 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, John lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a genuine willingness to help others.
John enjoyed playing golf, but some of his most meaningful moments were spent helping those around him. While living with his mother, he became a familiar and dependable presence among the older residents of the community. Whether calling bingo, helping organize activities, or simply lending a hand wherever one was needed, John was always happy to help.
He was never one to seek recognition for the things he did. Helping others came naturally to him, and he found purpose in being someone others could count on. His quiet generosity, thoughtful nature, and willingness to make life a little easier for those around him will be fondly remembered.
John was the beloved son of the late John Duda Sr. and Sadie Duda and dear brother of the late Ronald Duda. He was also preceded in death by his niece, Laura Shanahan.
He is survived by his loving sister, Christina (Marty) Shanahan; sister-in-law, Sharon Duda; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Ryan (Veronica) Duda, Kevin Duda, Danielle (George) Kearns, Marty (Gabrielle) Shanahan Jr., Teresa (Rick) Sluder, and Colleen (Charles) Johnson, several grand nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends also survive.
John will be remembered for the simple but meaningful ways he touched the lives of others. His kindness, his service to his country, and the care he extended to those around him leave a lasting legacy.
