Jesus E. Lozano passed away surrounded by the love of those whose lives he quietly and faithfully touched. A hardworking, humble, and devoted man, he leaves behind a legacy built on sacrifice, dedication, and love for his family.

Born in Mexico, Jesus came to the United States in 1960 with hopes of building a better future. He made Chicago his home, where he dedicated more than 40 years of his life as a machine operator with Signode. Through his unwavering work ethic and determination, he provided for those he loved and demonstrated the value of perseverance and integrity every day.

Jesus was a quiet, easygoing man whose gentle nature made him well loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved traditional Mexican music, spending time outdoors, the peacefulness of ranch life. Although he was happiest at home, his greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family. He was deeply devoted to his extended family and was a steadfast provider whose love was shown through his actions more than his words.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings, Yolanda (the late Carlos) Martinez, Diana Lozano, Manuel Lozano, and Maria Fela Lozano Pena; his longtime companion, Laura Woelfel; his daughter, Jody (Tim) Leeper; and his cherished granddaughter, Brianna Leeper. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure his kindness, quiet strength, and generous heart.

Jesus was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lozano; and his siblings, Norma Garza, Rosa Valdez, Dora De Luna, Ceser Lozano, and Oscar Lozano.

Though a man of few words, Jesus spoke volumes through the life he lived. His unwavering dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his humble spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever be grateful for the example of love, strength, and quiet dignity that he leaves behind.

Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until a service at 5:30 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue, Tinley Park, Illinois 60477. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Jesus' life, share memories, and honor a man whose quiet strength and unwavering love will never be forgotten.
