James StaffordMarch 7, 2026
James Stafford, 68, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Frankfort, Illinois.
Jim was a man who found his greatest happiness in the simple, meaningful moments of life. Whether it was standing over a grill at a summer barbecue, watching a NASCAR race, catching a Chicago White Sox game, or cheering on the Los Angeles Rams, he enjoyed the things that brought people together. He loved the sunshine and relaxation of vacations in Florida, but nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family.
Those who knew Jim will remember his easygoing nature and the way he welcomed time with the people he loved. Family gatherings, laughter around the table, a cold Miller Lite in hand, and a day on the golf course were some of his favorite ways to spend time. Above all else, Jim valued being present for the people who mattered most to him.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Stafford, his mother, Frances Bryan. He was a devoted father to Jessica, Shannon, and Haley. He was also a caring stepfather to Ashley (Daniel Mackey) Waters, Norman Waters, and Hannah (Nick) Fasano. Papa Jim to Joey, Jim is further survived by his siblings George (Melissa Cialdella), William, Renee, Stacey, and Diana, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Stafford; his sister Rhonda; and his beloved son Jimmy.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on March 22, 2026 at Lincolnshire Country Club, 390 Richton Road, Crete, Illinois from 1 PM until 5 PM.
Jim will be remembered for his love of family, his relaxed spirit, and the many memories created around backyard barbecues, ballgames, and time spent together. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
