Edward Thomas Martis

Edward Martis 85 of Mokena passed peacefully on September 28th 2026.

Edward was born in Joliet IL. February 6th 1941. He is proceeded in death by his parents Thomas Edward Martis and Stella Laura (Sicinski) Martis, his beloved wife Deborah Clark Martis whom he married September 30th 1968, and beloved brother Ronald Martis.

He worked for EJ&E Railroad as a railway electrician for 43 years. He was a WWII enthusiast, who enjoyed making miniature replicas from that era, and dancing at the Moose Lodge with his wife. Nothing was more important to him than his family.

He is survived by, son James E Martis (Rebecca), daughters Sherry Martis Cammack (Steve), and Tammy Martis Kreis (Chris), grandchildren Abbey Cammack Crowley (Mark), Hannah Cammack, Riley Kreis, Carter Kreis, and great granddaughter Olivia Crowley

Visitation will be held, Monday, October 5, 2026, 10:00 AM until time of Service 11:00 AM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Road, Mokena, IL. 60448. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Gentiva Hospice of Oak Brook
