Doris J. Vernam nee Rice age 89. Beloved wife of the late Richard Vernam. Loving mother of Margaret (Wesley) Hoffman, Richard T. Jr. (Cathy), John (Karen) and Barbara (Glen) Reno. Proud grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 11. Doris graduated from Creighton University in 1950, she spent time as lunch mom at Southwood Elementary in Country Club Hills. Funeral Saturday, April 9, 2016, 9:30 AM at Vandenberg Funeral Home 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL. to St. Stephen Deacon & Martyr Church, Mass 10:00 AM. Interment in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
