David J. Hurt, 92, late of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Tinley Park, IL. U.S. Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Mercedes Hurt. Loving father of Donald, Robert, Chuck (Carol), Joe (Patty), Mary (Jason), and Tracy; and the late David, Wayne Sr., and Deborah. Proud grandfather and great-grandfather of many. Preceded in death by his grandson James.
In his leisure time, David enjoyed spending time with his family, working on puzzles, and playing bingo with friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, from 3:00-8:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60477. Funeral Service will commence Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
