Cynthia M. Krier (née Kiley), 76, passed away peacefully on July 07, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Jack Krier. Beloved daughter of the late Lorraine Shatas (Stepfather George) and the late Arthur Kiley (Stepmother Betty).
Cynthia was born on January 1, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Jackelyn Louise (Randy), and her son, Michael Krier. She also leaves behind her brother, William Kiley (Carol); her stepsiblings, Lynn and Wayne Shatas; her cherished cousins; many nieces and nephews; and countless dear friends and extended family members who will forever treasure her memory.
Cynthia found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching television, enjoying good food, shopping, and spending time floating in the pool. She was especially proud of her 40-year career with JCPenney, where she worked in the Fine Jewelry Department and was recognized as one of the company's top sales associates for much of her career.
Cynthia will be deeply missed every day, loved forever, and remembered always by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the animal charity of your choice in Cynthia's memory.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue, Tinley Park, Illinois 60477. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Cynthia's life, share memories, and honor a woman whose strength and sparkle will never be forgotten.
