Charles E. Johnson

Charles Johnson of New Lenox, IL, died March 7, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Charles was born in Dongola, IL. He enjoyed many things throughout the years. Love of pets/animals, gardening, boating, food, but most of all, spending time with family and friends. He loved Anne, his beloved wife and became her caregiver in her last years. He learned to become a good cook, although not a good housekeeper. He was always willing to learn new activities, like technology. Charles was very independent and lived on his own and was proud to go for his driver’s test yearly. His favorite place and second home on Lido Beach in Sarasota, FL was a great source of enjoyment for many years.
Charles is survived by his 2 daughters: Karen Carroll (Michael Carroll), Karel Kuyawa (Steven Kuyawa).
5 grandchildren: Jennifer King (Shaun), Michael Carroll (Dawn), Katie Frankenfield (Chris), Scott Kuyawa, and Kelly Kuyawa.
5 great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Matthew, Jack Frankenfield, Lilly and Serenity King.
