Betty A. Hannafin

Betty A. Hannafin (née Kullgren), age 97, of New Lenox, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. A devoted and longtime parishioner of St. Mary Church in Mokena, Betty's life was rooted in faith, love, and family.

Betty was a woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time crafting, sewing, reading, cooking, and shopping, and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially the rescued dogs of her daughter, Maribeth, who brought her so much happiness.

Above all, Betty treasured her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. As a devoted homemaker, she created a home filled with warmth, care, and countless cherished memories. Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, loving heart, and the joy she brought to those around her.

Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Hannafin. Loving mother of Thomas (Laurie) Hannafin, Nancy Hannafin (Jeff Korleski), Maribeth Knierim. Cherished grandmother of Jamie (Brian) Troup, John (Amanda) Hannafin, Kathryn Korleski and Clare (fiancée Sean Killeen) Korleski, Austin (Kelly) Knierim, and Max Knierim. Cherished great-grandmother of Carter Troup and Victor Hannafin. Caring sister of the late Gloria (late Bud) Vanderberg. Dear daughter of the late Gustav and Dollie Kullgren. Kind aunt of several nieces and nephews.
